I thought getting stuff realistic digitally would be hard. But after a few months, well more a year, I was doing wonderful with that. I mean, looking at the My Addiction book cover I feel so proud. So for fun this summer I decided to tackle something new, making character art in a more 'artsy' or 'comic' like way. Which is hard! After years of focusing on realism drawing its so hard to let go and make something less realistic. So I'm doing it in stages, and more simplistic. One to learn to let go and not go insane over how it isn't realistic, and two to fiddle around and learn what different brushes do. I want to have brilliant colors, beautiful clothing and fantastical scenes. Its a struggle, and sometimes I get so annoyed with a piece I'll just close it and go work on something else.

But at times its fun too, like making a story book. I love writing, I mean I write all the time and I love being able to bring to life the characters I see in my head. Besides, as with school, when do I ever do something the easy way? Learning, struggling, wanting to scream at art, oh well that's all normal. At least for me.

Challenge yourself constantly, its worth it at the end.
